Shoulder Injury forces Ninis to leave Greece training

With Vassilis Torosidis still struggling to recover from an injury he picked up in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Slovenia, Greece took all the extra precautions when it came to Sotiris Ninis on Tuesday. Inter Milan 2-2 Olympiacos: Ten-man ‘Thrylos’ hold Inter in Geneva

Francois Modesto was on the score-sheet for Olympiacos on Sunday night.

In their final pre-season fixture ahead of the new season, a shorthanded Olympiacos side managed an incredible feat by holding Italian giants Inter Milan 2-2 in Geneva on Sunday evening. The Greek Champions were left to play with ten men after Olof Mellberg was shown a second yellow just before the half-hour mark. The loss of the influential Swede didn’t discourage Ernesto Valverde’s men who scored twice in the second half only to be denied by a Giampaolo Pazzini brace late in the game. [Read more…]
