Shoulder Injury forces Ninis to leave Greece training

With Vassilis Torosidis still struggling to recover from an injury he picked up in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Slovenia, Greece took all the extra precautions when it came to Sotiris Ninis on Tuesday. The Panathinaikos midfielder felt discomfort in his left shoulder and was immediately excused from training to undergo tests with the team’s doctors.

Inter Milan 2-2 Olympiacos: Ten-man ‘Thrylos’ hold Inter in Geneva

In their final pre-season fixture ahead of the new season, a shorthanded Olympiacos side managed an incredible feat by holding Italian giants Inter Milan 2-2 in Geneva on Sunday evening. The Greek Champions were left to play with ten men after Olof Mellberg was shown a second yellow just before the half-hour mark. The loss of the influential Swede didn’t discourage Ernesto Valverde’s men who scored twice in the second half only to be denied by a Giampaolo Pazzini brace late in the game.
